SUPPORTING AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRY FOR OVER 67 YEARS

Established in 1949, Melbourne Hoist & Crane Services were established as a company in 1949.

The company was created by a person named Gordon Simpson who started it upon his return from active service.

Back then, Melbourne Hoist & Crane Services were located in Coventry Street, South Melbourne. It was in 1971 that Gordon employed two young apprentices named Charlie Ebejer and Neil Purnell. In time Gordon retired and his son took the reigns and in 1992 Charlie and Neil purchased Melbourne Hoist & Crane Services.

Now 67 years later the company still retains the friendly family touch tradition.

The company continues to keep the same tradition with now the next generation of family joining the company, and with Charlie and Neil passing on the strong skills and experiences that they have earned through servicing the lifting industry for over 100 years.
